Custom switching systems are built to the customer's specifications based around a standard set of Rhodes custom developed modules. A switcher may contain any realistic number of audio loops in 4 channel increments and contact closure outputs in 6 channel increments. Front panel control of each loop or CC output is standard, though not required. Buffers may be added throughout the system, though most of the time they are simply added to the guitar input. Buffers may be manually or programatically bypassed. Programable buffer bypassing is particularly handy in situations, such as if the buffer only should be active with a clean tone only.
